“I’m undoubtedly bummed that Barney’s is closing, principally for private causes as a result of it represents a lot about coming of age and what I aspire towards once I was rising up,” Medine says. “I so desperately needed to be a part of the sausage making of trend. I knew that folks made it occur and I needed to be a part of that. So from the angle, it’s a bummer. The state of retail is in flux. I don’t suppose retail is dying, I don’t suppose it could possibly die.”
